Six fire engines from Rawtenstall, Hyndburn, Bacup and Ramsbottom were called to a fire involving a chip shop on Broadway Crescent, Haslingden. Firefighters used foam, hose reels and four breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire which spread through the roof of three other single storey shops. The cause is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
