At 15:30 two fire engines from Rawtenstall and Earby attended a fire at a commercial premisis on Newchurch road, Rawtenstall. The incident involved an outbuilding of wooden construction consisting of one floor measuring 4m x 10m which was well alight. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, two hand held jets and a positive ventilation unit. Crews were at the scene for approximately two and a half hours. There was damage to the full structure by flame, heat and smoke.
