Four fire engines from Blackburn, Hyndburn and Darwen attended a fire involving a large amount of tyres and oil at a commercial premises on Whalley Banks in Blackburn. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two jets, a ventilation unit and thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
