At 11:27am on 8 June 2023, six fire engines from Bamber Bridge, Blackburn, Darwen, Penwortham and Hyndburn, plus an aerial appliance, a water bowser and the drone team attended a commercial building fire on Tower Road, Blackburn. Firefighters used six breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one 45mm hose, one 10.5 metre ladder, and a thermal imaging camera. Firefighters were in attendance for three hours and forty-five minutes.
