Two fire engines and crews, from Ormskirk and Skelmersdale, were assigned to a fire involving the contents of a refuse lorry. Firefighters used a hosereel jet to extinuish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to ensure there were no remaining pockets of fire. No-one was injured.
