At 12:34 two fire engines from Chorley and Horwich attended a domestic building fire on The Asshawes Heath in Charnock. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire that involved a microwave. Fire personnel administered first-aid and oxygen therapy to a casualty until the arrival of paramedics. firefighters were at the scene for approximately two hours.
