Firefighters from Hyndburn including the Aerial Ladder Platform were called to reports of a dangerous billboard near Whitebirk roundabout, Blackburn. When crews arrived they found the sign was located on the industrial estate and that there was a metal side piece approximately 10m in length which had come loose in the wind. One lane of the A678 was closed whilst firefighters assessed the scene and removed the unsafe elements of the structure using small tools. Crews were in attendance approximately 70 minutes.
