At 9:27am on the 11th March, two fire engines from Preston and Penwortham attended reports of a dangerous structure on West Strand, Preston. The incident involved a handrail on top of a mill consisting of scaffold tubing, which was insecure. The rope rescue team from Chorley, along with the aerial ladder platform from Preston also attended. Crews used three rope packs, two tirfor winches, general purpose lines and the aerial ladder platform. Crews remained at the scene for around five and a half hours.
