At 15:50 on 06 April, five fire engines from Morecambe, Lancaster, Carnforth, and Kendal (of Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service) attended a derelict building fire on Warton Road, Carnforth. The fire involved a quantity of waste inside a derelict building. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two positive pressure ventilation units, and breaking-in tools to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for approximately fifty minutes.
