Fire crews from Preston and Penwortham were called to reports of a fire on St Marys Street Preston. The fire involved a derelict building attached to a church, approximately 10m by 4m. The fire was in the roofing and crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire using a hose reel. They were in attendance around twenty minutes.
