At 16:41 on 23rd August, one fire engine from Bacup, along with two fire engines from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS), attended a fire at a derelict property on Albert Street, Whitworth, Rochdale. The fire involved a small area inside a derelict mill. Firefighters used one hose reel and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported. Crews were in attendance for fifteen minutes.
