AT 17:51 on 22nd May, four fire engines from Skelmersdale, Ormskirk and Wigan along with the aerial ladder platform from Preston attended a fire on Gillibrands Road, Skelmersdale. The fire involved a derelict factory building on the first floor. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel along with the Stinger from Skelmersdale and a fog spike from Greater Manchester to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately three hours and fifteen minutes.
