We were called this morning at 02:08 to a fire involving a derelict mill on Standish Street, Chorley. We had eight fire engines and an aerial ladder platform at the height of the incident. Firefighters used breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire in the five-storey building measuring 20×65 metres.
Firefighters from Greater Manchester also attended the incident. No injuries have been reported so far and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
