At 16:14 on 7 October 2023, four fire engines from Hyndburn, Rawtenstall, Blackburn and Burnley attended a building fire on Grange Lane, Accrington. The fire involved the first floor of a derelict building. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel. Firefighters were in attendance for approximately forty minutes.
