Two fire crews from Skelmersdale were called to reports of a fire involving a commercial premise. When they arrived they found the fire involved a disused portacabin at the rear of a pub. They wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. Lighting equipment was also in use at the scene. The portacabin was completely destroyed by the fire. They were in attendance approximately 45 minutes. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and a joint investigation alongside Police is now underway.
