Fire crews from Hyndburn and Blackburn were called to reports of a fire at a domestic property on Hodder Street, Accrington where there were people trapped inside. When firefighters arrived they assisted in rescuing two people from a first floor window. The fire was located on the ground floor of the property and crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Cadent gas were also in attendance and assisted by isolating the external gas supply to the property. Three casualties were treated by paramedics at the scene and then transferred to hospital. Fire crews are currently still in attendance
