At 02:43 one fire engine from Darwen attended an incident on Roebuck Close, Blackburn. The fire involved a gate and external stairs caused by waste on fire, thought to have been caused deliberately. Firefighters uesd a hose reel jet and positive ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were at the scene for an hour.
