At 19:31 on 2nd August, two fire engines from Blackpool attended a domestic building fire on Furness Avenue, Blackpool. The incident involved the kitchen on the ground floor of a semi-detached property, which was well alight when crews arrived. Firefighters extinguished the fire using four breathing apparatus, and one hose reel. One casualty was assessed by firefighters before being placed in the care of an ambulance crew. The cause of this fire is now under investigation. Crews remained at the scene for two hours.
