Two fire engines from Burnley were mobilised to a domestic building fire on Bar Street in Burnley.
On arrival, crews found a settee to be well alight in the front room of a mid-terraced property.
Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reels and positive pressure ventilation unit to tackle the fire and are still in attendance.
