At 19:00 on the 1st March 2023, three fire engines from Clitheroe and Nelson attended a domestic building fire on Bridge Road, Chatburn. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel, a gas monitor and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. Two casualties suffered from smoke inhalation and were passed into the care of North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for one hour and ten minutes.
