At 21:40 three fire engines from Bamber Bridge and Chorley attended Mackay Croft, Chorley. The fire involved a bin inside a domestic property caused by a lit cigarette. The fire was out on arrival however firefighters administered first-aid for burns and smoke inhalation before the arrival of ambulance crews. The firefighters were in attendance for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
