At 18:11 on 22nd February, five fire engines from Clitheroe, Hyndburn, Great Harwood, Nelson and Preston, and an aerial ladder platform from Preston, attended a fire at a domestic property on Pimlico Road, Clitheroe. The fire involved a detached domestic property that was well alight when crews arrived. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation unit to combat the fire. Three casualties were assessed by fire service personnel before being conveyed to hospital by ambulance due to possible smoke inhalation.
Update 20:30 – Incident reduced to three pumps and aerial ladder platform.
Update 22:20 – Incident reduced to one pump.
