Caller reported a fire in the living room of a domestic property on Midgley Street, Colne. When firefighters from Nelson and Colne attended they found that the fire was out on arrival but had involved some of the contents from the living room. The fire is being treated as suspicious and an investigation is now underway. There was one dog at the scene that was suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation. Firefighters used a dog mask to assist in oxygen therapy.
