At 01:20 two fire engines from Nelson and Colne attended a domestic building fire on Alkincoats Road, Colne. The fire was caused by a grill pan being left on in the kitchen and firefighters used two breathing apparatus and a positive ventilation fan. They were at the scene for twenty five minutes.
