Firefighters from Garstang and Fulwood attended a fire at a domestic property involving a microwave. The property was smoke logged when firefighters arrived at the scene and so two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. There was one casualty at the scene who was suffering the effects of smoke inhalation and who received treatment from paramedics at the scene. Crews were in attendance approximately one hour and twenty minutes.
