At 12:08 four fire engines from Hyndburn, Darwen and Blackburn were allied to reports of a fire on Sough Lane, Guide. The fire was within the living room of a domestic property and crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a positive ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Firefighters were at the property for approximately three hours.
