At 12:38 on 19th April, three fire engines from Preston and Fulwood attended a domestic building fire on Cambridge Street, Preston. The fire involved the first floor of a property approximately 6x3m in size. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. Crews then used small tools and cutting back equipment to make the scene safe. One dog was rescued from the property. Crews were detained for around one hour. An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
