At 17:32 on 27 April, two fire engines from Preston and Leyland attended a domestic building fire on Arnhem Road, Preston. The incident involved the first-floor bedroom of a domestic property. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. One casualty was assessed by fire service personnel before being placed in the care of paramedics. Crews were in attendance for approximately fifty minutes.
