At 17:05 two fire engines from Skelmersdale and one from Ormskirk and Wigan attended a flat fire at Blakehall, Skelmersdale. The fire was in the kitchen and a bedroom and firefighters used two hose reels, two breathing apparatus, a positive ventilation fan and breaking in equipment to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for two hours.
