Two fire engines from Preston and Penwortham attended a domestic building fire in Beechwood Avenue, Walton-Le-Dale.
Firefighters used oxygen therapy to treat one casualty for smoke inhalation as well as a positive pressure ventilation fan before handing the casualty over to the care of the North West Ambulance Service.
Crews were in attendance for just under one hour.
