At 21:15 on the 6th December 2022, three fire engines from Bamber Bridge and Chorley attended a domestic building fire on Town Lane, Whittle-le-Woods. Firefighters used one hose reel, a triple extension ladder and a nimbus nozzle to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for two hours and twenty minutes.
