At 11:00 two fire engines from Chorley and Leyland attended a fire in a domestic building on Royton Drive, Whittle-le-Woods. The fire involved candles in a domestic property and firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. One casualty was suffering the affects of smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by paramedics. Firefighters were at the scene for approximately one hour and twenty minutes.
