Fire crews from Ormskirk and Tarleton were called to reports of a fire at a domestic property on Hesketh Road, Burscough. On arrival firefighters found the fire involved a waste bin in the kitchen of the property which had caught fire after cigarette ash had been placed in it. Firefighters ensured the scene was safe using a thermal imaging camera and used a ventilation unit to clear the property of smoke. There were no casualties reported and firefighters were in attendance approximately 30 minutes.
