At 00:22 two fire engines from Hyndburn and one from Great Harwood attended a fire in the kitchen within a terraced property on Blackburn Road, Clayton-le-Moors. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus an one hose reel to extinguish the fire and one casualty was treated for smoke inhalation. Firefighters were at the scene for twenty minutes.
