At 05:03 six fire engines from Blackpool, Bispham, Fleetwood, South Shore, St Annes and Wesham as well as the ALP and the drone attended a fire at a semi-detached house in Hambleton. The property consisted of two floors measuring approximately 4m x 5m. The ground floor and roof space were well alight and crews used six breathing apparatus and three jets. All persons accounted.
06:22 – four jets, two breathing apparatus and one positive ventilation fan being used to tackle the fire
07:30 – three casualties suffering from smoke inhalation
07:37 – damage to 100% of the building. One aerial ladder platform, one thermal imaging camera, breathing apparatus and positive ventilation fan in use to dampen down. The property has been reduced to four fire engines.
11:11 – crews remain at the scene working with partners like Electricity North West and Cadent Gas. An investigation into the cause of the fire is not able to take place as the property is deemed unsafe to enter by a structural engineer.
The properties adjacent are being looked after and people found alternative accommodation. Community Fire Safety advisors from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service will be attending the scene and neighbouring properties to carry out community reassurance and deliver safety advice.
