At 18:06 two fire engines from Lancaster and Morecambe attended a fire in a domestic property on Vale Road, Lancaster. The fire involved a chip pan and crews used two breathing apparatus and one positive ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Crews administered first aid to one casualty who was conveyed to hospital by road ambulance. Firefighters were at the scene for approximately fifty minutes.
