At 16:40 on the 24th June 2023, two fire engines from Hyndburn attended a domestic property fire on Lord Street, Oswaldtwistle. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. Electricity North West are also in attendance and work is underway to isolate the electricity around the affected property. Approximately 135 properties will be affected for a limited time period. Crews were in attendance for three hours.
