Fire engines, specialist vehicles and crews from Burnley responded to an incident at which 8 X 45-gallon drums containing various waste materials including paint thinners had been dumped on Mill Hill Lane, Hapton. Firefighters, Environment Agency and local authority personnel are currently involved in the clean-up. There is no off-site hazard but Mill Hill Lane is closed to traffic meanwhile and because of possible traffic congestion, avoiding the vicinity of the incident is advisable.
