Two fire engines and crews from Preston attended a 2nd floor flat on Brook Street, Preston. A grill pan was on fire but had burned out when firefighters arrived. They used a portable fan to extract the smoke. A woman had suffered the effects of breathing smoke and was attended to by paramedics.
