Two fire engines and crews from Bacup responded to a fire in the kitchen of a house. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hosereel jets to extinguish the fire and a portable fan unit to extract the smoke and heat. There were no casualties. The cause of the fire is to be established.
