Two fire engines and crews, from Nelson and Colne, were assigned to a fire involving a toaster in the kitchen of a house on Higher Causeway, Barrowford. There were no casualties and firefighters extinguished the fire with a hosereel jet and extracted the smoke using a portable fan unit.
