Two fire engines and crews, from Great Harwood and Hyndburn, were assigned to a fire in a bedroom of a house on Bridge End, Whalley Road, Billington and firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hosereel jets to extinguish the fire. There were no casualties. The cause of the fire is to be established.
