Two fire engines and crews, from South Shore and Blackpool, responded to a fire at a house on Midgeland Road Blackpool at which a candle had ignited bedroom curtains. No-one was injured. Firefighters used a hosereel jet to put the fire out and a portable fan to extract the smoke.
