Two fire engines and crews from Blackpool, one from South Shore and one from Bispham responded to fire in a the entrance area of a confectionery shop on the Promenade, opposite the Central Pier. The fire was extinguished with the use of a hosereel jet. No-one was injured and the cause of the fire is to be established.
