Two fire engines and crews, from South Shore and Blackpool, responded to a 999 call reporting a fire at a house on Marsden Road Blackpool. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet to extinguish a fire in the kitchen and a portable fan unit to extract the smoke and heat. There were no casualties. The cause of the fire is to be established.
