Firefighters from Burnley were called to reports of a fire in the open on Queen Street, Briercliffe. When they arrived they found a small fire involving some decking at a recreational ground. They extinguished the fire using an aqua pack. Firefighters were in attendance approximately one hour. An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
