Eight fire engines and supporting appliances from Preesall, Bispham, Blackpool, St Anne’s, Fleetwood, Fulwood, Bacup, Garstang and South Shore initially attended a fire involving a quantity of waste on farmland on Ned’s Lane in Stalmine. The number of appliances was reduced to five as firefighters used two jets and an excavator to extinguish the fire.
