Five fire engines from Preston, Wesham, Fulwood and Bamber Bridge and an aerial ladder platform from Blackpool were called to a fire at the school on Ainsdale Drive, Preston, at 17:44. On arrival fire crews found the roof of the school well alight.
Firefighters used two jets, two breathing apparatus and the aerial ladder platform to extinguish the fire. No injuries have been reported and the cause is under investigation.
Fire engines will remain at the scene overnight to make sure the site is secure and the fire doesn’t flare up.
Firefighters monitored the scene overnight and left the incident at 09:15hrs March 8th. The cause of the fire is now under joint investigation alongside Lancashire Constabulary.
