At 02:02 four fire engines from Lancaster and Morecambe attended a fire involving a top floor flat in a four storey property on St Peters Mews, Lancaster. Firefighters used eight breathing apparatus, two hose reels, two tactical ventilation fans to bring the fire under control. One fire engines remained at the scene until the morning on watching duties. A fire investigation is due to be carried out fully and in daylight on 20/04/2019
