At 18:43 four fire engines from Lancaster, Morecambe, Carnforth and Bolton-le-Sands attended a fire at a commercial property on Quernmore Road, Lancaster where two fryers were on fire. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for one hour and fifteen minutes making the scene safe.
